Penn's Peak was the place to be one Sunday night in Pennsylvania, more than a few steps outside of Philadelphia (but a pleasant drive), as Whitesnake rocked the house!

The view from the back of Penn's Peak where Whitesnake performed was not too shabby (the band looks further than they really were in these photos). It is a 2 decker, wooden "barn" sort of design. But cleaner than any venue its size I have enjoyed (and I'm international, baby). Staff were friendly too!
There are flat-screen TVs throughout the side seating
and the sound was the best in the back, by far. And you can stroll around this place as it is set up. Well worth a visit if you can (http://pennspeak.com/).

Proof there is only one David Coverdale, and for my money he is an icon, a classic and a very viable and lively host to the solid showcase that is Whitesnake 2011.

David Coverdale and the band
rocked this rustic and lovely venue;
check out Penn's Peak if you
are in Pennsylvania. It's a relatively
short drive from NYC, Philly and NJ and very much worth the trip for name
brand rock.
